Hello Neighbors! I'm an economic development specialist who works with communities across the state on housing, workforce development, marketing, and placemaking. I'm seeking your vote for Waunakee Village President.

I grew up in nearby Prairie du Sac. Since moving to Waunakee with my husband and children in 2009, I've had the chance to facilitate the Waunakee Housing Task Force, served as a trustee on the Village Board and have been your president the last two years. During that time, I chaired the Finance Committee, served on the Police Commission, and became an inaugural member of the Community Development Authority.

My professional and volunteer work focuses on creating economically vibrant and resilient communities where people from all walks of life can grow their dreams. With your vote, I would like to put my expertise to work for our community members by serving as Village President.

Experience

I work as a statewide Economic Development Specialist for the Division of Extension at UW Madison and also serve in a leadership role as Program Manager. Before joining Extension, I was a lecturer in strategic communication at UW Madison while pursuing a Ph.D., and a senior lecturer in the Business & Economics Department at UW-Fox Valley. And for one, brief, shining day in 2010, I was a guest coach for the Badger Football team.

Family

My husband, Troy, grew up on a dairy farm in Unity, Wisconsin. He worked in research for Kimberly-Clark Corporation until 2009 when he was recruited by UW Madison. Our daughter, Elizabeth, and our son, William, are both proud Badger alumni and work as geologists.
